Grandparents Day
On Thursday, September 14th, and Friday, September 15th, Faith Christian Academy held their annual Grandparents Day celebrations. On Thursday, K3 2 day and K4 3 day classes performed songs and recited Bible verses for their grandparents followed by a reception and fun photo booth.
Friday students from each elementary class volunteered to lead the pledges and prayer opening the program. Preschool recited Bible verses and poems as well as singing songs for the grandparents. The elementary students followed and did a wonderful job singing "Jump into the Light". The Kindergarten Class recited the Wiseman Story followed by 1st grade with the Parable of the Sower, and 2nd grade performed a skit about grandparents sharing Jesus. All of the Elementary asked their grandparents to join in to sing "This Little Light of Mine". 3rd grade performed the poem "Jesus is a Miracle Worker", 4th grade then told the parable of the Lost Sheep, and 5th grade the parable of the Lamp. The program was concluded with all of the elementary students taking the stage and singing "Happy Grandparents Day".
Following the program grandparents, students and their families were invited to join a reception with a photo booth for families to make great memories and take pictures with their grandchildren. Preschool and elementary students then showed their grandparents and families their classes and spent some time fellowshipping with their teachers.
